Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. It allows the site to remember certain information (navigation preferences, session identifier, visit statistics, etc.).
Other similar technologies (local storage, invisible pixels) may be used for the same purposes and are collectively referred to in this policy as "trackers".
2. Legal basis
The use of trackers on our site is governed by:
- Article 82 of French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended ("French Data Protection Act");
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) regarding the concept of consent;
- the guidelines and recommendation of the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) of 17 September 2020.
3. Your choices
On your first visit, a banner allows you to express your choices regarding non-essential trackers: accept all, reject all, or customize your choices by category. Refusing is as easy as accepting, in accordance with the CNIL recommendation.
You can change your choices at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
Your choices are stored for six (6) months. After this period, the banner will be shown to you again.
4. Trackers used

5. Strictly necessary trackers
These trackers are essential for the site to function and cannot be disabled. In accordance with CNIL guidelines, they are exempt from prior consent. They do not store any information that could personally identify you.
6. Analytics trackers
These trackers (Google Analytics) measure site audience. They require your prior consent. Google Analytics is configured with IP address anonymization enabled (anonymize_ip: true). Data is not cross-referenced for advertising purposes.
These trackers are only placed after your explicit consent via the cookie banner.
7. Marketing trackers
These trackers would enable personalized advertising. They are currently not used on GEOanalyze. Should we ever integrate any, this policy will be updated and your explicit consent will be requested prior to any placement.
8. Transfers outside the European Union
Google LLC, provider of Google Analytics, is located in the United States. This transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses and the Data Privacy Framework (DPF). For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
9. Disabling cookies in your browser
